test Me now in this...

During our "Larger than Life" message series, Pastor Kirk taught about generosity toward God. The Bible even instructs us to test God and see if He won't honor our giving.

So we want to put it to the test!
For the remainder of 2008, we as a church are coming together to participate in an experiment - The Generosity Experiment. We are going to honor God with our generosity toward Him, His house and His people. We'll put it to the test to see if he really "opens the windows of heaven!"

The way we're doing this is by participating in giving in three areas ::

1) Tithe :: this is the most important first step with our finances. God asks for our first and our best 10% of all of our increase. The Bible teaches us that if we honor God with our tithe, God will open the windows of Heaven over our lives. We want to live blessed lives, not just for our sake, but for the sake of the people in our world. That's why it's so important to honor God with our tithe.

2) C2 :: We strongly believe in equipping and empowering the next generation for success, as well as reaching and touching as many people as possible. C2 is how we fund this vision. Through media, facilities, missions and outreach, we are able to bring the love of Christ to countless people. Every month we take one Sunday to focus on the C2 campaign, and we ask you to prayerfully consider your place in expanding God's reach through our church.

3) Christmas for Kids :: The Rock Church has faithfully made Christmas happen for hundreds of children for the last several years. This is our heart, our passion and our pleasure: to bless the less fortunate. This year we're, determined to bless more families than ever before. We would love for every person to participate in this wonderful opportunity at some level.

The Generosity Experiment is simply about giving this "generosity" thing a try. Why not test God in this for the remainder of the year? Let's be a generous people and touch God's heart and bless thousands of others along the way!
